After hearing about a player ID that is similar to Asuna, Kirito attempts to fly to the top of the World Tree. Lyfa flies after Kirito and tries to warn him about the barrier. But Kirito ignoring the warning, keeps hitting the barrier. Lyfa grabs Kirito’s arm and tell him to stop while Yui calls out for Asuna.
Indeed, Magic is believing in yourself, and if you can do that, you can make anything happen. Let me describe this episode for the perfect word to be lachrymose. The fact that this finds really good balance between the action and the character material sides while the viewers starts discharging perceived ideas of the character interactions deserves a round of applause. The episode was delivered great in showing us Kirito going all out to rescue Asuna knowing that he’s way too close in reaching her. Even though he had a hard time in dealing with the reality of the game mechanics and his own limitation, he has kept that heart to keep on moving just to achieve his goal. On the other hand, it then shifts to a striking-to-the-heart scene upon the revelation of in-depth affection; half of which I thought was already a given, but the termination is relatively strong as we see the real world side of it come into play in an appealing way. Maybe we’re left teary-eyed after watching but our hearts still crave for the best to come.
